I have a dell inspiron laptop that has already maxed out on partitions (windows 7, ubuntu) I would like to try windows 7 beta and run it from my external harddrive. How do i install 7 to my external hard drive and then run it?

I am using Windows 7 64 bit version, and when I try to install iTunes, it won’t let me install it. Any suggestions?
It is compatible with Windows 7 because I tried using 32 bit but it wouldn’t sync with my iPod so I have to use 64.

My uncle is planning on getting windows 7, and i want to know if i can just borrow his copy and install it onto my computer. I’ve heard the “1 copy for 3 machines” rule from Microsoft before, but will it work for windows 7?

In Windows 7, when you hover over an application in the taskbar, it gives you a thumbnail preview of the window. It also brings up the title, icon, and close button. I have a small screen, so I would like to strip the excess information from the frame so that all I see is the preview when I hover over an application. No close button. No title. No extra icon. Just the preview. Is that possible? And if so, how would I go about doing it?

I’m trying to install Windows 7 and it says it will restart multiple times doing so. Well, when it restarts, my computer asks me to press any key to load from CD/DVD, and Windows 7 starts over.

Why?

I got the windows 7 dvd and installed it on my computer. ( I previously had vista home premium) When I was done installing it I checked and I had 32bit OS. I wanted 64. How do I change it? And will it involve wiping my hard drive?

I was wondering what is the difference between the Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) and the Final version of Windows 7 RTM?

I had both Windows 7 RC and Windows 7 RTM and I see no difference, except the default windows wallpaper.

I am planning to pre-order a Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade download. I wasn’t sure if I bought one product key if would work on more than one computer.

I have just downloaded the windows beta iso and i would really like to RUN it from my 8gb usb drive without installing windows 7 on my computer as dual boot or whatever. It would be even better if I don’t have to reboot the computer and choose it from the bios (like qemu). Please help! =]

I am going to be purchasing the Windows 7 Ultimate Edition when it comes out, and I have 3 computer in my home. Can I install Windows on more than one PC?
I am only going to be putting 7 on two computers at first (If it’s possible) because one of my computers is fine running XP. But later on I might put 7 on that one two. Isn’t it 3 computers max if I buy a valid copy of Windows 7 from stores?
