I get Windows 7 Ultimate for free from work, and I bought a laptop with Windows 7 home premium. I was wondering if there was a legal way for me to get home premium on my desktop computer, because I want the ultimate version to be on my laptop.

I realize this question has been answered a lot, but I’m looking for a answer specific to my question. Thank you.

I just installed Windows 7 onto my laptop and so I went off in search of some good themes for me to use.

I have found a couple but they aren’t installing to the effect that screen shots promised they would.

Is there a proper way to install a 3rd party (custom) theme for Windows 7? Or are the screenshots with the cool looking windows and menus just hocus pocus to get the download numbers up?

I need to be able to run a program called Pro Tools and it isn’t compatible with Windows 7 and i cant get Windows XP Virtual mode on Windows 7 to Work with my laptop. How can I downgrade back to Windows Vista or XP?

I want to install Windows 7 on my laptop. I have Windows Vista right now. When I am reading the instructions it says that all of the hard drive will be erased and that I will need to reinstall programs. Does that mean all the programs I have installed myself will be erased or does that mean my computer will have nothing on it after I install Windows 7?

I have a rather new laptop, and I was wondering if it would be easy to upgrade to windows 7 from windows vista?

Also, would windows 7 run smoothly on my laptop?
I have a 2.0 ghz intel core 2 duo processor and 4gb ram.

Would 7 work ok with my computer?
Would it be hard to install windows 7 (I have never installed an operating system before)?

I get my work bonus next month and I want the Windows 7 Family pack so I can upgrade my laptop and my 2 towers from the aweful vista they came with. Will I be able to get this next month or will it be discontinued? As in not being able to purchase the family pack from a store.
