When will the laptops have windows 7 installed on it?
Right now almost everyone knows that windows 7 is going to come out on October 22nd. But when will the laptops come with it integrated?
So far I’ve seen that most computer brands offer you the opportunity to upgrade your vista but since I’m planning to buy a new one it don’t mind waiting until they come with it already installed.

This is a question of inventory. Some manufacturers will upgrade their existing inventory to offer Windows 7, others will try to sell out their existing inventory (with upgrade offers).
One thing’s for certain: No laptop is going to ship with Windows 7 BEFORE October 22!

You miss out on the fun of installing it yourself.
I’ve installed three Windows 7 RC’s this week – for friends who realize it only lasts until March/April.
The front page of the final release has a design whereas the RC does not

You’ll certainly find some on the release date of October 22.
Supposedly Microsoft is allowing some places to start shipping things to people this next week so that they’ll arrive by October 22.
With things like laptaps which often come preassembled (rather than custom built), it will probably take a little bit to clear out the Vista inventory here and there, too.
But you’ll certainly find some things October 22 and be able to place orders by October 22.

When you buy Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate either as a packaged product or on a qualifying PC you can get a comparable upgrade version of Windows 7 after it’s generally available on October 22, 2009.
Qualifying PCs, offer details, and product delivery methods will vary by manufacturer, so check their sites for specifics. If you buy a packaged copy of Windows Vista you can order your upgrade from Microsoft.

It will be in time for the Xmas frenzie, no doubt early November. With the economy so bad, this will be a huge incentive to buy a new computer with already installed Windows 7. It will be a good time to get some good deals also. You are better off getting one with windows 7 already integrated.
Many people had lots of problems installing Vista over XP back when even with a Vista-ready computer. I got a free copy of Vista but never installed it due to that fact. If it “ain’t broke don’t fix it” is my motto. My XP worked fine, so I just purchased a lap top with Vista already imbedded and have the best of both worlds.
Would like to purchase Windows 7 on a 3G netbook. Hopefully, it will be suited to that application as 3G seems to be seems to be the wave of the future.
